As expected from a product with customer reviews more than 4 star, this portable fan’s operation is quite good. It can produce stronger breeze than most other fans with the same size. However, as it is still a small fan, it works best when it is aimed right at you within about 4 feet. It is not absolutely quiet when working, however the noise is in an acceptable range. The test shows that the fan is no louder than 60dB at its most powerful setting (tested from 8 feet away). Some people even praised that it worked as great as a white noise machine.

One of the best feature of this fan is its capability to run on both batteries and AC adapter. It can run continuously for 40 hour, which means it could last for four full nights. That is really a convenient feature for travelling. Even though, it is easily be seen that it blows more strongly on electricity than it does on battery. Besides, it consumes too much batteries. Replacing them is quite expensive, so if you are planning to use it frequently, a  rechargeable batteries fan might be a better option. A little trick to save money here is using 8 AA rechargeable batteries instead (Sanyo Eneloops will be a good choice), with this the fan can last for about 6 hours. Furthermore, AA batteries also lighter the fan to a manageable weigh for outdoor activities.

The design is not too bad, it is quite handy and sturdy. We can adjust the tilt of the fan, it could change from a flat position (0 degrees) to vertical position (90 degrees). The leg is foldable, so you can fold it up and store it in your closet or under your bed. It is lightweight, and have a carry handle. With batteries being in the base, the fan can stand more steadily. The fan is covered with strong cage, so you can be sure that it is completely safe for your children and your pet.

However, as it is completely plastic and has no metal part, it really looks flimsy and cheap made. The on/off switch is a little bit sensitive , you should be careful not to hit the switch while transporting. Moreover, the wall-plug-in cord is too short, it is just about 5 feet. If you want to put the fan in the doorway or window, you need to have a plug close by or use an extension cord.
